MBE National Best Candidates Prize Winners

Two students from BISDS have emerged as part of seven top candidates nationwide for the 36th (2009) Malaysian Buddhist Examination preliminary stage. The students are Lim Jie Sheng and Ng Zen Ian who each received cash prizes and free issues of Buddhist Publications for a year. Kudos to the examination department under Sis Amy Goh and the dedicated teachers (Sis. Chan Shy Loung, Sis. Loo Mew Ling, Sis. Loke Bee Leng, Bro. Cheah Kim Hwah, Sis. Lau Leng Heoh ) who have taken so much effort to inspire, encourage and coach the students. Sadhu! -
Wesak Fun

As mentioned in the Staff meeting last week, the BISDS Project Team will be building a palanquin for the BISDS Wesak Celebration this year. The project will kick start this weekend – Saturday 18/4 @ 1pm at BMV. We require all the help we can get to construct this palanquin and to get it ready for Wesak! Therefore it will be great if you could all come forward to help us in the construction! So do drop by with your family if you are free! There will be something for everyone to do at BISDS this weekend.

Outreaching to Methodist Boys Secondary School Kuala Lumpur
Posted on April 7th, 2009 2 commentsWe were given an opportunity to share a religious hour with the Buddhist Society of MBSSKL this morning. There was a big crowd of 200 plus students and staff who were present for this session.
